Not content with what's enough, and I bulldozed all my luck
Always biting the hand that feeds with a mouth wide open
Watch me give a eulogy
For the next couple months or three
Just watch, you wouldn't believe
The ways I can't be careful
Call you don't pick up, I know it isn't just bad luck
Been this way before

Never really bothered asking "when?"
I learn a lesson but it doesn't end

The path of least resistance
Absent any mandates or a plea
No introspection's in the cards for me
A slog, a stumble mired in ease
Just moving, never changing

I'm still stuck inside
That fault is surely mine
Nobody else to blame but

I guess I'm lucky cause I'm still around
Move fast with nowhere to go
My worthless empty status quo

Sure there's a risk of slipping every day when
I take that walk, I think about it now and then
But I learned a while ago, I'd rather break than
Spend just a moment to consider wondering if
Maybe I have a choice, and maybe I could
Think past the present tense, but in reality
I'm never looking down
